Ambition is a trait that is usually admired by most people. The biggest ambition is when there is a desire to reach a big goal, or even to fulfil one's life purpose. When someone is very ambitious it affects themselves in a way of being very motivational and self encouraging. It may also affect others if they are not a very ambitious person, or even if they are. Ambition is good, but it can also go wrong if someone is overly ambitious. For example, it can easily reflect on some of their self doubts they could be experiencing where their ambition becomes not a desire to reach a goal, but a desire to please others. In conclusion, ambition is an excellent trait to have, as long as you know the purpose and what is really driving you to reach the goal you are trying to achieve. The biggest impact ambition has is on themselves.

What do you think of Lady MacBeth?
Through out the play we were able to see Lady MacBeth's character and personality experience quite a drastic change to a point of calling her crazy. At the beginning of the play her and MacBeth seemed to have a very close relationship, writing love letters, etc. However, at the end of the play she changed and was pressuring MacBeth to go along with the murder of Duncan and Banquo. In my opinion Lady MacBeth is a psychotic woman who needed to get her facts straight and realize that what she was doing was not the correct way in going about things.

What Do You Think of MacBeth?
From getting to this point in the play I have come to a realization that MacBeth is a very confused man. He is nice, but has issues. He will do anything to achieve his ambitions, as in the most recent case he murdered Duncan in an attempt to live out prophesies and become King. As MacBeth had his plan set to kill Duncan, he had a sudden change of mind to not continue through with it. That was until Lady MacBeth provided a variety of insults towards MacBeth as well as persuading him which in the end, pushed MacBeth to complete his murder. I believe MacBeth is a bit of a coward for caving into listening to his wife because if he hadn't, he would not have killed Duncan. Would you agree?

The Ideal Marriage
I believe the ideal marriage consists of two partners who are in love with each other. Most of the time they live together and are there to help each other through any obstacles they may face, while providing each other the needs and wants in life. To expand my point of facing obstacles, I think every married couple will come across a rough patch or some sort of obstacle through out their marriage. Whether it be a small argument or larger issue, it is normal for that to happen. However, that links to my next point of how they help each other through the situations they encounter. I also believe that each husband and wife share a very strong bond with each other that is an important factor in their marriage. In the ideal marriage the wife is normally seen to be as the one who prepares the meals for the family, takes most care of the child(ren), and stays at home the most out of the two partners. The husband however tends to be the worker of the family such as taking care of repairs where they are needed as well as working regular shifts to make money so he can take care of the family. Do you believe this is true? If not, what is your opinion towards what the ideal marriage is?

Why should people be careful when selecting Halloween costumes or party themes?
For my first blog I chose to answer the question of why people should be careful when selecting Halloween costumes and party themes. In my opinion, the majority of people base their opinions on one's costumes and party themes in a negative outlook and will end in finding it to be at least somewhat racist or offensive to someone or something in some way or another. I realized this when we read the articles "We're a culture, not a costume" and "Social media protesters crash 'Cowboys and Indians' party." In both of these articles it was noticed how there are so many different stereotypes of different cultures that when there is a party theme or costume that is based around/set as a culture that it is seen to be racist and/or offensive. After reading and looking into this and all of the different perspectives I was able to understand how the people who are involving themselves as the party-goers and who are dressing themselves up as the set themed culture are supporting the many stereotypes that some find offensive and racist. In my opinion those people should be putting more thought and consideration into how although they themselves may find it to be harmless, a fair majority of others may not be thinking and seeing it the same way as do I. I also believe that cultures should not be generalized into one costume or party theme. For example, in the article "We are a culture, not a costume" the Asian's were referenced as to how all of the females are stereotyped as Geisha's in society. In my opinion there is a lot more to a culture than how people have strictly labelled it as.
