Abolishing the Indian Act

http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2012/10/29/todays-letters-is-it-time-to-scrap-the-indian-act/

I found an interesting article discussing the topic of the Indian Act and how the native reserves are a waste of resources, and how it allows the native Canadians to live in 3rd world conditions. It offers many perspectives and opinions on the subject throughout the article.

    1. Marc, this response is unacceptable. It shows a lack of thought, as well as disrespect for Chris. If you choose not to read the article, that is fine, but it is necessary to tell us that it is "too long; didn't read".

    1. Marjone, what did you find neat? What was interesting? You need to expand on your responses.

  3. Chris, the comments were interesting to read. I especially thought the comments about cultural genocide and apartheid were hard hitting. Do you think, via residential schools and reserves, that the Canadian government is guilty of genocide and apartheid.

You gave a quick synopsis of the purpose of the comments. Your post would have been stronger if you had shared your ideas about some of the comments. I also wonder about the people who submitted comments. What do we know about them to ensure that their knowledge is factual and not just bias.
